The work stems from a desire to address the inevitable changes shaped by my mother’s death, focusing on the transitional experience of my father who is known as ‘the colonel’ due to serving as an officer in the Salvation Army for 45 years.

The work offers a meditation on mortality, time, love and loss. While the work is about my family, it is equally a means to contemplate the nature of life, the invisible bonds of love and our relationship as a father and daughter.
